Grew up with the Frolic in the 70s - such nostalgic memories. It’s great to see it’s still going strong.

![Grief isn’t always about someone dying. Sometimes, it’s mourning the childhood you never got to experience, the family you kept hoping would change, or the people who were still alive but could never love you the way you needed. Sometimes, it’s grieving a friendship you thought would last forever, a relationship you had to leave to stop losing yourself, or the version of someone you loved before you finally accepted who they really were. It’s thinking about the job you turned down, the opportunities you weren’t ready for, the places you never moved to, and all the different lives you could have lived if you’d made different decisions. It’s remembering the photographs you never took because you didn’t feel comfortable in your own body, or the years you spent trying to become the person everyone expected you to be. There are so many things we lose without ever having a funeral for them. And sometimes, the hardest part is accepting that you can miss something deeply, even when letting it go was the right decision.
📕 By the way, I did write a poetry book called Between Heaven & Earth. It’s a collection of poems about love, heartbreak, loneliness, inner struggles, healing, and the quiet journey of understanding yourself and life along the way.
If you’d like to read it, comment “Book” and I’ll send you the link.
