I wanted something straightforward: a rose-colored bloom from New Zealand. The petals fold into a tight, luminous center while glossy green leaves form a dark, textured backdrop. A few unopened buds at the edge add quiet balance. The color is confident, vivid magenta against cool verdant tones, and up close you can follow the layered edges while stepping back the shape reads simple and refined. What do you notice first, the center or the leaves?
