We also gotta break up the First Ave monopoly on venues, which has live nation/ticketmaster involved in almost every part of the process. It's not just ticketing. It's the beverages, food, promoters, bookers, etc- Live Nation/Ticketmaster has their hands in every single part of the experience. If you are looking to get a job at a venue, you'll likely end up working for low wages at a venue staffed by Live Nation. Indie venues are competing with a monopoly within a monopoly of corporations who can afford to lose money, while the indie venue drowns.
