MINNESOTA NEEDS MUSIC 📢

We’re asking Minnesota musicians to add their name to a letter calling on state legislators to invest in our local music community. The music industry has changed dramatically, and it’s becoming harder than ever for artists to afford recording, touring, and performing. This letter is a chance to show lawmakers that musicians across Minnesota are united in asking for support that will help keep our music scene thriving. TCUP has a goal of 1000 sign ons by September. Add your name to the 200 folks who have already signed and help make MN the best place in the world to be a performer!

🚨 EMERGENCY RALLY: TODAY, 4 PM, POWDERHORN PARK 🚨

Powderhorn Park (Near Rec Center), 3400 15th Ave. S, Minneapolis

This morning, federal agents raided Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s home, three weeks before an election where she’s on the ballot.

For a decade, Trump has targeted Rep. Omar with rhetoric that fueled death threats. This year, he sent thousands of armed ICE agents into the Twin Cities to target Somali Americans. Last week, he told his supporters to “fight back,” attempting to incite violence against our Somali neighbors.

To Trump, Ilhan’s leadership and our solidarity are threats. He wants us afraid, small, and stuck in fight-or-flight. We refuse. We are standing with Ilhan and with all of our Somali neighbors.

Bring a friend. Bring a sign. Keep it peaceful, and keep it loud. 💙

Let’s be clear: Minnesotans love our neighbors. Wherever we were born, however we worship, Black, white and brown – we will protect each other. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us and we will not let cruel and desperate politicians divide us by attacking our Somali community.

We stand in solidarity with our Somali and immigrant neighbors. You are loved, you belong here, and you make this state great.
