🚨 EMERGENCY RALLY: TODAY, 4 PM, POWDERHORN PARK 🚨

Powderhorn Park (Near Rec Center), 3400 15th Ave. S, Minneapolis

This morning, federal agents raided Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s home, three weeks before an election where she’s on the ballot.

For a decade, Trump has targeted Rep. Omar with rhetoric that fueled death threats. This year, he sent thousands of armed ICE agents into the Twin Cities to target Somali Americans. Last week, he told his supporters to “fight back,” attempting to incite violence against our Somali neighbors.

To Trump, Ilhan’s leadership and our solidarity are threats. He wants us afraid, small, and stuck in fight-or-flight. We refuse. We are standing with Ilhan and with all of our Somali neighbors.

Bring a friend. Bring a sign. Keep it peaceful, and keep it loud. 💙

Let’s be clear: Minnesotans love our neighbors. Wherever we were born, however we worship, Black, white and brown – we will protect each other. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us and we will not let cruel and desperate politicians divide us by attacking our Somali community.

We stand in solidarity with our Somali and immigrant neighbors. You are loved, you belong here, and you make this state great.

recap of my performance for @tcupmn at @amsterdambar651

twin cities united performers aka @tcupmn is doing such admirable work in improving the working conditions of professional musicians within our ecosystem. they are organizing a response to the current landscape of the industry with such togetherness and commitment - i imagine it’s required hundreds of hours of unpaid labor and very difficult conversations and compromises.

to look at the industry machine with the ingenuity and determination to improve our circumstances is not easy. i personally carry a lot of hope around the future - but hope requires action. tcup is bout that action!!!!!! 💐💐

thank you for having me!
