It is truly heartbreaking to see a family charged $1.8 million just to keep their newborn baby alive. Have we reached a point where modern healthcare functions purely as a cold business, valuing profit over human life? This harsh, broken system shows a severe lack of basic human compassion.
However, as Christians, we are called to do more than just criticize a broken system—we are called to be a light in the darkness. Jesus taught us to care for the vulnerable, show mercy, and carry one another’s burdens:
"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2)
When the world and its systems fail people in their darkest hours, the body of Christ must step up with love, generosity, and prayer. Let us lift up this family and all those crushed by medical debt, while advocating for true justice and care.

It’s not just the insurance companies. It’s also the corrupt hospitals, the corrupt doctors and the corrupt universities.
