The Chosen (2025), the life of Jesus Christ is presented as the ultimate testament to divine love, reshaping the foundational pillars of Christian theology through the lens of a father sharing a story with his son. Just as David was formed in the solitude of the fields, the life of Jesus demonstrates that the greatest power in the universe is found in humility, compassion, and a heart fully surrendered to the Father’s will. Chosen by God to redeem a broken world, Christ’s journey-from the humble manger to the triumph of the Resurrection- illustrates the core Christian belief that God’s strength is perfected in weakness.

Christians view the story of Jesus as the fulfillment of the promise once glimpsed in Young David: while David was a shepherd who became a king, Jesus is the King who became a Shepherd for all mankind. His victory over sin and death stands as the ultimate “Goliath” moment, proving that through faith, the impossible becomes possible. Through this cinematic retelling, the themes of grace, sacrifice, and eternal hope are brought to life, reminding us that true leadership is found in service and that the Light of the World continues to guide those who seek Him with a sincere heart.

✝️ 21 Men. One Name: Jesus.

On February 15, 2015, the world witnessed one of the most heartbreaking yet powerful testimonies of faith in modern Christian history. Twenty-one Christian men, most of them simple laborers from Egypt and members of the Coptic Orthodox Church, had traveled to Libya to work and support their families. They were not soldiers, not preachers, not public figures—just ordinary men trying to earn a living.

They were kidnapped by the extremist group Islamic State and held captive. A propaganda video was later released showing them dressed in orange jumpsuits, kneeling on a Libyan beach beside the Mediterranean Sea. Behind each man stood a masked executioner. The message was clear: renounce Jesus and live, or remain faithful and die.

They chose Christ.

As the video played, witnesses noticed something powerful—their lips were moving. Many were praying. Several were heard calling on the name of Jesus. In the face of terror, humiliation, and certain death, they did not deny their faith. Instead, they clung to it.

That tragic event is historically known as the 2015 kidnapping and beheading of Copts in Libya. The attackers intended to spread fear, but what spread instead was a global testimony of courage. Christians around the world were moved by the unwavering faith of these men.

Shortly after their deaths, the Coptic Orthodox Church officially recognized them as martyrs. Churches were built in their memory. Their story continues to inspire believers everywhere. Even more powerful is the story of one of the men who was not originally Christian—when he saw the faith of the others, he reportedly declared, “Their God is my God,” and chose to die with them rather than walk away.

They lost their lives, but they gained eternity.
They were ordinary men with extraordinary faith.
Their blood stained the shore, but their witness shook the world.

I was scrolling on Instagram and came across this reel from The Passion of the Christ. Even though I didn’t shoot it myself, watching it… seeing Jesus being struck with the lashes… my eyes welled up. 🥹 It made me realize all over again, just from watching the movie, how much He suffered for us. Years have passed since it was released, yet every time we see it, the pain, the love, and the sacrifice feel as real and powerful as ever. ✝️

The Passion of the Christ is a 2004 film directed by Mel Gibson that depicts the last 12 hours of Jesus Christ’s life. It focuses on His arrest, trial, crucifixion, and ultimate sacrifice, showing the immense suffering He endured for humanity. Jim Caviezel delivers a heart-wrenching portrayal of Jesus, capturing both His physical pain and profound love. The film is known for its realistic and intense depiction of these events, its haunting visuals, and its emotional power, making it timeless—even after almost two decades. It’s not just a movie; it’s an experience that moves hearts, reminds us of faith, and makes the sacrifice of Jesus deeply personal and tangible. ✝️

When tech expansion leaves local communities storing water in jugs just to flush their toilets, you know the system is completely broken. Corporations tap into local water lines, leaving everyday people to suffer the consequences. We were commanded in Genesis 2:15 to be faithful stewards of God's creation, but modern greed continues to sell out the well for corporate power.

It is heartbreaking to realize that a broken system forces some people to work until their final days without ever experiencing retirement. Yet, to everyone who never stopped showing up despite the heavy burden, you have my utmost respect. Keep your patience and trust in Him. ✨

Even the little ones are feeling the weight of these times! 😭🍦 It’s easy to feel the pinch of how expensive everything has gotten lately. But Proverbs 3:5 reminds us to lean not on our own understanding, and Philippians 4:6 tells us not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer let our requests be made known to God. Even when a simple ice cream outing costs a fortune, God provides our daily bread and walks with us through every season. Thank Him for the sweet moments and His unfailing provision! ❤️🙏

It is truly heartbreaking to see a family charged $1.8 million just to keep their newborn baby alive. Have we reached a point where modern healthcare functions purely as a cold business, valuing profit over human life? This harsh, broken system shows a severe lack of basic human compassion.
However, as Christians, we are called to do more than just criticize a broken system—we are called to be a light in the darkness. Jesus taught us to care for the vulnerable, show mercy, and carry one another’s burdens:
"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2)
When the world and its systems fail people in their darkest hours, the body of Christ must step up with love, generosity, and prayer. Let us lift up this family and all those crushed by medical debt, while advocating for true justice and care.
🙏 Comment "Amen" below to keep this family in your prayers and stand up for compassionate care.
