Haven’t you heard? The baddest beavers ain’t in LA… 🦫🧡
They’re right here in the Intermountain West, and they’re not even real beavers — they’re honorary beavers building beaver dam analogs (BDAs) to improve stream health!
A huge thank you to all of the volunteers and partners who joined us in the field this season to build these structures! A special shout out to our partners at @utahtroutunlimited who collaborated with us on nearly every single Riverscape Restoration event this season! We’re beyond grateful for the support of our community in restoring these critical habitats for humans and wildlife alike.

Hi do you know if there are any groups in LA area that build check dams or BDAs? The closest I’ve found is the group up in SLO and I’d love to volunteer to slow down the water
