I knew when I came to pick you up, we’d have fun. Of course. I didn’t know how much this trip for you would change me. Between the adventures, the laughter, the messy little faces, the endless pictures, and the moments you fell asleep in my arms, somewhere along the way I realized that you were giving me just as much as I was trying to give you. I hope when you look back at these pictures someday, you see how happy you were. How safe you felt. How loved you’ve always been.

And I hope you know that while I was busy making memories for you, you were giving me some of my favorite ones, too.
