Dresden won the bid for EuroPride 2029! 😍🌈☀️
Amazing news from Karl’s home town! Under the motto “turn walls into bridges“, the beautiful capital city of Saxony will bring the international LGBTQ+ community finally to the eastern part of Germany. The work of the CSD Dresden team over the past years made this incredible achievement, to host the 35th edition of EuroPride in the year of the 60th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising in New York, possible! Congratulations! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
As a personal note: Karl’s first CSD in Dresden was in 2002! This summer we joined the Pride demonstration again. This time as husbands. It was so wonderful to see and experience how far the city and its dedication to the queer community has come. On the streets, people were visibly, bravely diverse, and proudly taking up their place.
Karl still cannot believe it that this is happening 🙈😅
