Yesterday would have been my Mom’s 60th birthday.
The past couple of years, I’ve adventured on this day—whether it was New Mexico for a training, Minnesota with some friends, or Atlanta the first year for
@runningmanfest.
This year, I was asked to lead breathwork for
@energi.studios at their retreat. Then, I ended up speaking at the
@wearesteds_ Alumni Retreat on “Faith in the Real World,” where I also took the group through some breathwork.
Taking 30+ men through breathwork, ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s, was such a profound experience. These guys had so much wisdom, while also allowing themselves to open their hearts and lean into some of their softer sides.
Right after that, I headed to Energi, where I took a group of 18 women through breathwork. It was beautiful as well—hearts opening, memories of family surfacing, and emotions releasing.
I ended the day by the lake at Mom’s bench, and I knew she wouldn’t have wanted her day any other way.
Mom, I miss you every day. I know you were pulling some strings for me to have a day like this. Happy 60th birthday❤️ Love, Gabriel
