What a day!!! I wasn’t sure what my 400m time would be but oh my gosh I couldn’t be happier!!! 🥹 1:02.95 🏃🏻‍♀️💕 Not even 8 months postpartum yet and getting close to 60 seconds.. in freakin October!!! 🔥 and I felt so good and strong too.. like I def pushed, but I know I have more in me! Then got to run the 4x1 with my girlies @mandypena1 @ximena_77 @_nataliepw and 4x4 with @championshipfit and @_nataliepw @shreveportspeed we had so so much fun!

Thanks @trackratsprintclub for putting on a fun, competitive, and well run event!!!

Some weeks my hill sprint don’t feel super fast and I wonder if they are paying off.. switched to flat ground today and I felt so speedy!! 🏃🏻‍♀️🔥💕 I mean my watch could be wrong.. but I was def pumped when I saw it said my best moving pace was 2:55! 🙌🏽🩷🏃🏻‍♀️ Got in my heavy squats also after! 💪🏽 BEST start to the day/week! #motherrunner #runnergirl #trackathlete #hillsprints #nevermissamonday
2x 180m- 8 min rest, 120m- 4 min rest, 60m 10 min btwn sets. 🏃🏻‍♀️💕 It was really fun to do a speedier workout where we kept everything high quality with the long rest.. AND fun to change it up from the usual distances we run! Will def be doing this one again! I was supposed to do a 3rd set (the other girls did) but my foot has been acting up a bit ever since I ran in my Nike spikes instead of my newer New Balance ones 😭 It was feeling soooo much better yesterday but then during my 2nd 180 I really felt it, so decided to not do the 3rd set which I was sad about because physically I was feeling so good and strong! Always hesitant to share these type of posts 🙈 but just wanted to share for anyone who struggles some days! I promise I don’t think I look ”bad” and I’m beyond grateful for my body and what it can do!!! But still doesn’t mean I don’t struggle every once in awhile! 6x150 w/5 min rest- 22.95, 22.28, 22.25, 21.90, 21.76, 23.40 🏃🏻‍♀️💕 Today was a weird one for me and I’m not sure how to feel about it lol I felt smooth, relaxed, and fast on number 1-4, number 5 I def felt fast.. but not as relaxed, and then number 6 I could tell I couldn’t get out explosive like I usually do.. felt my legs being wobbly last 30-40m so shut it down.. also used my nike spikes which I haven’t used in a long time, they felt kinda aggressive and made me a little unstable 🤷🏻‍♀️ overall happy with some speedy times today and to get it done! Friendly reminder to take planned breaks and down weeks before you’re forced too! 🫶🏽 I’ve been feeling good and strong, but I also know how important it is to rest and take down weeks to let your body recover and adapt to training! 🏃🏻‍♀️💕 so that’s what I’m doing this week!
