Rainy Mesh

Those who faced the Beast up close knew its terror was not defined by strength and size alone. Such was the testament of commanders who were blinded in battle against it.
They spoke of how, in the thick of combat—at the exact moment victory felt most certain and they rose to attack—their eyes were struck by a fierce, burning pain that stole their sight. Confused and helpless, they swung their spears wildly in every direction as the Beast hunted them down with horrific roars.
Ancient chronicles tell of a massive orb resting between the Beast's eyes, the source of this blinding magic. And to this day, no way has been found to spare any commander destined to face the Beast.
