There was not a PR on the 500m row benchmark for me and Abbie, but our souls left us at about the same time 🪦💀

Coach Alicia did get a PR but successfully guessing the name of the Bears opponent yesterday 😂😂😂😂
Shoutout to Coach Stanley for being so chill💀😂

Pretty good Bears debut for @jsimmons_94 👀
Times have changed dramatically over the past few decades, with everything from technology and entertainment to everyday household products evolving as companies adapt to new manufacturing methods and consumer demands. While modern products often benefit from improved technology, cheaper production and more efficient designs, many people believe certain items have lost the attention to detail that made older versions special. Toys are a particularly interesting example because children who grew up in the 1990s and early 2000s remember products that often featured intricate designs, durable materials and small details that weren’t necessarily important to how the toy functioned. As manufacturing costs, safety requirements and production priorities have changed, companies have sometimes simplified their products to make them easier and less expensive to produce. Hot Wheels provides a perfect example of why people feel nostalgic about older toys. First introduced by Mattel in 1968, the miniature die-cast cars became famous for their creative designs, realistic vehicle models and incredible variety. A viral comparison shows the undersides of Hot Wheels cars labeled 1997, 2012 and 2026, with the older examples featuring detailed mechanical components while the newest design appears much simpler. Although the image alone doesn’t establish that every newer Hot Wheels car has less detail, it highlights how changes in manufacturing can affect the appearance of familiar products. For collectors and longtime fans, details like molded exhaust systems, suspension components and underbody designs can make a small toy feel surprisingly realistic. Sometimes looking at something as simple as the bottom of a toy car is enough to remind people how much the world has changed. 😭 #HotWheels #Nostalgia #TimesHaveChanged
A little fun from last night. Happy All Saint’s Day! May the love of Christ and the communion of the Saints be with you! A little about how our family approaches All Hallows’ Eve! 🎃 Growing up in a conservative Evangelical family, we didn’t observe All Hallows’ Eve or All Saints’ Day, and we didn’t celebrate Halloween. My husband, on the other hand, was raised in a devout Catholic family that celebrated All Hallows’ Eve and All Saints’ Day with elaborate costumes, trick-or-treating, prayer, and Mass. In our family, we avoid costumes or decorations that glamorize evil. But we see dressing up and going trick-or-treating with our neighbors as a fun, wholesome way to connect, build community, and enjoy time together. We also celebrate with prayer and Mass. We always give our kids the option of dressing up as saints, too! I encouraged Leo to be Pope Leo this year, but he had his heart set on being a ninja. 😂 Maybe next year! There are beautiful Christian traditions surrounding these holy days, and I love that our Catholic faith calls us to reject what is evil while embracing what is good, true, and wholesome. We can enjoy innocent fun while also sharing the deeper meaning of All Hallows’ Eve and All Saints’ Day with our children and others. I’m not sharing our family’s exact approach as a prescription for everyone else. I’ve had wonderful priests on my podcast who have shared varying perspectives on cultural practices around Hallow’s Eve, including differing opinions on secular costumes (many priests say dress up and have fun, while others encourage wearing Catholic-specific costumes). I encourage every family to learn about the history of these holy days, pray, and discern how best to observe them. And, of course, to celebrate the great Solemnity of All Saints with Holy Mass! Above all, we want to raise our children to love what is good, reject what is evil, and find joy in the beautiful gift of our faith. ❤️
