1. Music was my whole world: I played the clarinet for 23 years and studied clarinet performance at the University of Montana in Missoula.The discipline and rhythm I learned in my music studies now goes into every fold. 🎶 🥟
2.Global childhood roots: I'm Filipina and I was born in the Philippines but in my childhood I grew up in Japan and Guam soaking in the flavors and cultures which have influence in what I enjoy cooking today. 🌏
3. A heart full of wanderlust: I lived in Montana from age 13 to 29 and swore I’d never leave. But life had other plans! I’ve since lived in Nicaragua, Kansas City, Ensenada and have been loving life in Todos Santos for almost 9 years now (my son was actually born right here in Todos Santos). 🌵🌊
4.The ultimate leap of faith: Despite 2.5 decades in the food service industry when I launched this dumpling business 6 years ago, I had zero dumpling-folding skills and no clue how to run a business. I had a dream and took action anyway. What I didn't know I learned how to do and when I failed I learned to do it better and tried again.
Every bag of handmade dumplings carries a piece of this wild, beautiful journey. And if you're waiting to start something of your own, remember: Do it - even if it's ugly! Because every time you wait until you're ready, somebody else is out there doing it wrong, learning, and getting better. 💛
