United and Air Canada just announced 6 new routes between the US and Canada for summer 2027.

United's new ones:
👉 Newark to St. John's, Newfoundland (summer seasonal)
👉 Denver to Ottawa
👉 Denver to Quebec City

Air Canada's new ones:
👉 Toronto to Louisville
👉 Montreal to Indianapolis
👉 Edmonton to Newark

The points angle: both airlines are in Star Alliance, so you can use Air Canada Aeroplan points on United flights and United miles on Air Canada flights. Chase and Bilt points move 1:1 to both programs, and Amex and Capital One points move 1:1 to Aeroplan. Check both programs before you transfer, since the price for the same seat can be different.

Which one are you flying first, Quebec City or St. John's?
