This book! Can I just start by saying how refreshing it was to read a fantasy standalone book?!? Don’t get me wrong, I love a good fantasy series, but it was so cool to get a big fat fantasy book and just immerse myself into a world for a few days and then everything is concluded and life continues on! No waiting 2 years for another one to come out or scouring the internet with theories and finding hidden easter eggs

This book gives us Harlow, the youngest daughter of a powerful magical family. Each sibling has a special power and hers is the poison kiss. Everyone she kisses dies.

When her family arranges a marriage to Henry, the heir from another powerful family, Harlow thinks she will get out of it by kissing him but when she finds out hes immune to her position she must switch tactics and try to find out some intel for her family and to keep them safe from the Drained (vampires) who live in the forest and are trying to attack their walled city.
