Happy Halloween 🪓 @the1975

How many books have you read so far this year?

Because you haven’t seen me organizing my shelves in a while…😂

I’m chomping at the bit to share some VAGUE PUBLISHING NEWS (*cough*GRAVESPELL UK EDITION*cough*) but I guess I’ll have until tomorrow.

Greetings from the Old Rectory, where we’ve been celebrating Halloween, with pumpkins, sparklers, and toasted marshmallows beside a bonfire in the garden. If these were the delightful treats, then a couple of unexpected tricks manifested in the form of minor domestic mishaps (my son got locked in a bathroom, when the door handle broke, and a temporary problem with the water supply caused some consternation).
Fortunately, peace has now settled over the house, and I’m about to head up to bed. Here’s hoping all is well with you and yours - and I’m sending warm wishes, as always, and waving from the Waveney Valley…

“They called me unprofessional, rude, and stupid simply because I know who they are and had the courage to confront them with facts.
They looted public wealth and destroyed countless lives.
In Nigeria, speaking the truth is treated as disrespect, while ruining the country is celebrated as leadership.
I will not bulge not for anyone, and not for anything.”

— Rufai Oseni.

Riley was featured in People’s magazine today!

People dubbed him “Country’s Hottest Cowboy” in an exclusive interview by Alex Ross, where he opened up about staying grounded while his career takes off, what he finds sexy in a partner, and a romantic tent setup he once put together by the lake on his Alabama farm. He has seven No. 1 hits, is still a bachelor, and said he’s happiest at home watching his nephew play football. This comes after he won the “Readers’ Choice Poll for Sexiest Country Star” last year. The overall “Sexiest Man Alive” title went to actor Noah Wyle, but Green is one of the featured men in the issue. You can read the full interview with Riley at People.com.
