Most of my best moves started before I felt ready. You don’t wait for the flow state to show up. You start, and it finds you somewhere along the way. Life is too short to keep waiting on perfect timing.

Back pain treatments usually focus on easing the ache. A new injectable gel is aiming to fix the problem at its source 🦴💉

The discs between the bones in your spine act like shock absorbers, but injuries and aging can wear them down over time, often leading to chronic back pain.

Scientists are developing a hydrogel that can be injected into damaged discs to help repair the tissue and bring back some of their original structure. In a 2024 study, researchers tested it on damaged human spinal discs outside the body and saw encouraging gains in disc height and how well the discs handled pressure.

It’s still early. The gel needs more research and clinical trials before doctors can use it regularly, but if it pans out, it could someday help people heal their discs instead of living with the pain.
