There are truly so many people to thank.
So, to everyone who has shown up for me: THANK YOU. Thank you for loving me. 🤎
Thank you all for the outpouring of love these past few days. Your messages has meant so much to me more than I can say. Thank you for letting me talk through the fear without needing the ability to have it all together.
I’m doing my best to read through all, even when I haven’t had the chance to respond. Your love, guidance, support, and prayers are carrying me through this new journey in ways I will never be fully able into words.
I had been getting increasingly sick unwell the past month, attributing to recovering from my recent COVID infection. Despite not thinking too much of it, I had also been experiencing other concerning symptoms. The pain and discomfort became more frequent and severe. After not getting better and seeming to get worse - we feared it was likely not related to that.
Once I had been admitted to the hospital and then eventually moved to the oncology floor — they began diagnostic testing and further work-up of imaging, bloodwork, and received further care.
In approximately two to three weeks, I will receive the remaining results in addition to the PET/CT scan and a biopsy that can be safely performed on the areas of the active growth of cancer —which will help finalize the final diagnosis, just exactly what we are dealing with, and aid in determining the safest treatment plan.
I expect to continue to spend the next few months at City of Hope, where they will be overseeing my care and we are carefully weighting our options with my team.
I don’t know what exactly the road ahead looks like yet. But I do know that God is faithful and a Healer and much bigger than illness. There are a lot of possibilities that are being explored, so for now, I am taking this one appointment, one treatment, one day, and one prayer at a time.
I kindly ask that you please continue to pray for peace, clarity, healing & strength for me —guidance, wisdom, and clear answers for my medical team in the coming days. I love you all. 🤍
