SOUND ON! Cindy Blackman Santana returns to KKB with music from her new album, Coherence, and a monster band featuring famed saxophonist Ravi Coltrane, Aurélien Budynek (guitar), Benny Rietveld (electric bass) and Oscar Williams on keyboards (replacing Zaccai Curtis). She is a true jazz-rock artist, having played with stars from Joe Henderson, Pharoah Sanders and Jackie McLean to John Medeski, Lenny Kravitz and of course, Carlos Santana. Cindy continues to build on the legacy of Tony Williams, thought by many to be the greatest drummer of all time. Tickets for Sat-Sun, Oct 24-25 are at keystonekornerbaltimore.com.
