**Call for Papers**

How can EMDR therapy be adapted to better support children, adolescents and their families across developmental stages and different experiences of trauma?

The *Journal of EMDR Practice and Research* (JEMDR) is accepting submissions for a special issue:

**“EMDR Therapy in Support of the Mental Health of Children, Adolescents, and Their Families: Adaptations Based on Age and Type of Trauma.”**

Guest edited by Professor Andrea Soubelet, PhD, of Université Côte d’Azur, France, this issue will explore developmentally sensitive, family-centered and trauma-informed approaches to EMDR therapy.

We welcome original research, clinical innovations, theoretical papers, systematic reviews and qualitative research examining topics including:

• Developmentally adapted EMDR protocols for children and adolescents
• Family-based and attachment-focused interventions
• EMDR therapy with neurodivergent young people
• Complex trauma, dissociation and intergenerational trauma
• EMDR in schools, pediatric healthcare and community settings
• Culturally responsive approaches and caregiver involvement
• Early intervention, treatment outcomes and long-term impact

Through this special issue, JEMDR aims to bring together research and clinical perspectives that advance our understanding of EMDR therapy for young people and the families who support them.

**Submission deadline: February 28, 2027**

Researchers, clinicians and scholars are encouraged to contribute.
