This one almost stayed at my house, old pine is my favorite and this antique chest is fabulous with its perfect patina, warm finish and bun feet.
Hand cut dovetail joints show its age, probably mid- late 1800s
Two little drawers on top add character and useful storage. These are removable if you want a flat top.
The small top drawers are secured by built in dowels, so to remove them leaves small holes- more charm and character!
Square nails also show its age.
This is hard to capture but hand planed drawer bases round out the amazing details on this beauty.
