Scientific glassblower Jim Hodgson's rare skill helps bring researchers' dreams to life through custom-made glassware. The specialized lab equipment helps them overcome challenges and solve problems that off-the-shelf equipment can't.

For Hodgson, who works in our chemistry department but serves researchers across the country, each project is an opportunity to try something new, learn through experience and find a solution that helps move someone's research forward.
