We’re still smiling after WE Fest!

From stone carving and local art to kids making their own creations, good food, great performances and neighbors catching up, it was a beautiful day celebrating William Edmondson’s legacy and the history of South Nashville.

Thank you to our artists, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who came out. You made this celebration special, and we’re grateful to share these memories with you!

“LO QUIERO YA” — Part 1 of 4. A passion project turned 4 part mini series created in just 11 hours of rehearsal & 6 hours on set. This whole project was a masterclass in surrendering perfection and trusting the raw energy of the moment. Endless costume, lighting, and scenic changes. It was pure, frenetic chaos in the best way possible. I’m still in awe that we pulled it off. It has been a long time since I felt a fire like this. The music of @ca7rielypacoamoroso woke up a part of me I thought had gone quiet, that deep, instinctual need to express what can only be translated through movement. As a choreographer whose work lives in the fusion of so many different worlds, finding music where all of those facets can coexist seamlessly is rare. Their art feels like home to me. We were a small, mighty crew of 3 doing the work of 12, alongside the absolute best group of dancers I have ever had the privilege to direct. Watching you all bond reminded me why I do this: the energy in the room is everything, and the art builds itself from there. @damistabu , we finally made our magic! Thank you for saying yes to this adventure and for letting me Steadicam your body to capture every frame exactly as it lived in my head. @mattied89 , we wouldn’t have crossed the finish line right on the dot without you on site; I adore you. Andrew at @boxofmoonlight_bk , thank you for providing the perfect location. Deepest love and gratitude to every single person who brought this vision to life.
