Actor Eric Roberts has built one of Hollywood’s most prolific careers, accumulating more than 900 acting credits across film and television. The Oscar nominated actor, known for Runaway Train, The Dark Knight and The Expendables, has become famous for accepting an extraordinary number of roles, including appearances in independent productions and smaller films. Roberts has explained that his relentless work ethic comes from his genuine love of acting and his personal journey through addiction recovery. He has spoken openly about the importance of staying busy, describing work as a source of purpose, structure and stability in his life. In his 2024 memoir Runaway Train, Roberts reflected on his struggles with cocaine addiction and how his wife, Eliza, helped him rebuild his life. His willingness to accept roles regardless of a production’s size reflects a career driven by his passion for performing rather than fame alone. 🎬❤️

One month since I quit Taekwon-Do. I thought I’d be itching to train by now. Honestly, I’m still tired. I stepped away because the environment had stopped feeling safe for me, mentally and physically. I was burnt out, and I needed space to work out what my relationship with Taekwon-Do and the Taekwon-Do community could look like again. I’ve slept a lot. The stress and ostracism is still there, and I haven’t found the energy or desire to return to my own training yet. After nearly 30 years, that feels strange. But alongside that, I’ve enjoyed having spare time again. Reading, being creative, exploring ideas and spending time with people without always being the person organising everything. And I’ve realised how much my WMA community has my back. When you’re used to being the coach and supporting everyone else, receiving that support yourself means a great deal. I’m still struggling with some of it. I’m also enjoying parts of life I hadn’t made enough room for. There’s no return date to announce. For now, I’m grateful for that room—and for the people helping me feel more like myself.

Democrats need a net gain of four Senate seats to take control of the upper chamber of Congress. Now, with election day looming on November 3rd, Alaska, a state crucial to that effort, is descending into chaos. Last month the New York Times reported that Democratic campaign operatives worked quietly to recruit candidates who might hurt the sitting senator’s chance of re-election. Mary Peltola, the Democratic candidate for Senate, denies any personal knowledge of the scheme. However the affair is a nightmare for her—and national Democrats. Tap the link in our bio to learn why.
