Happy Birthday to My Pops 🤍🙌🏼🙏🏼If you know me, you know how much of my personality comes from this man. From my love for music, dancing, and singing to my charisma and the way I connect with people. He taught me to follow my passions, but also to work hard, be independent, and learn how to work for myself. Dicen que soy igual de coqueta que mi papá 🤣 but I swear it’s just our personality! 😭 Not only do I act like him, I’m literally his twin. My dad came to this country from Mexico at just 16 years old and built his own business. I had the privilege of watching him build, take his L’s, get back up, and keep going. But what I’ve always admired most is that no matter what he had, he never forgot to show compassion to those who had less. He may be un gritón and get mad 😅 but he has the biggest heart. He’s probably the one person I’m genuinely afraid of disappointing, not because of what he expects from me, but because of how much I admire and respect him. He spoils all of us, loves us loudly, and has always made sure we know we’re loved. And don’t even get me started on how romantic he is with my mom. Like SIRRR, GET A ROOM! 🤣💀 But secretly, I love it. I grew up watching a man love his woman out loud, and that’s something I’ll always cherish. The older I get, the more I recognize how much of him lives in me. His charisma, his passion, his independence, his big personality, and even his stubbornness 🙃 I’m proud to be your daughter, proud to carry so much of who you are, and forever grateful that God chose you to be my dad.
