A little intro since we’ve got some new people here🤍 I’m Ibey408. The 408 is where im from i’ve lived in almost every part of the 408. Born in WSSJ. Moms born in LA raised in the 831 & Pops from Jalisco and came young alone to the 831. Chicana here 🇲🇽 If you’ve been here for a while, you’ve probably seen me covering artists, local businesses, community events, interviews, and givebacks. But no matter what I’m doing, one thing won’t change; I stay authentic to ME. This platform has never been about chasing attention it’s about INTENTION. It’s about connection. I genuinely love getting to know people, hearing their stories, and highlighting the things that make our communities special. My real life consists of this. Also, Mental health is something that’s really important to me, and so is personal growth. I’m not putting myself in a box. You’ll see me explore things I’m already passionate about and things that push me outside my comfort zone. I’m learning that growth happens when we’re willing to be uncomfortable, heal, and trust God with the direction of our lives. Outside of social media, I’m also a mommy and a social worker. Balancing those roles isn’t always easy, but serving others has always been part of who I am. If you’ve ever met me in person, you know I genuinely want to leave people better than I found them. Ironically, I’m actually an introvert… until I’m in the right environment 😅 Then I can talk to just about anyone. So if you’ve ever wondered whether the energy on camera is real, aha it is. I just really love connecting with people. I have different pages and you’ll start seeing more sides of me. More conversations. More behind the scenes. More faith. More lifestyle. More interviews. More community. More of the person behind the camera. I’m still figuring it all out, and I’m okay with that. Thanks for being here. Whether you’ve followed me for a day or for years or on different platforms, I appreciate you. I hope something I create makes you feel seen, inspired, or simply reminds you that you’re not alone. 🤍🕊️ Cecy was different. My pain after her loss was hard. She was one of the few who knew the pain and abuse I loved through and carried behind my smiles. She knew my goofy, outspoken, free spirited side, and with her, I never had to hide my intelligence, my interests, or any part of who I was. We danced, choreographed, sang, and dreamed together. Even back then, we were building community in school through our Latino club. I became vice president while balancing cheerleading, rallies, tutoring, advocacy, choir, church and connecting others with resources. Looking back, it’s crazy because I’m still doing those same things today. I was walking in my purpose before I even recognized it, and she was always reminding me of my strengths. Cecy was blunt, loving, funny, and full of life. She carried so much responsibility for her family while dreaming of becoming a pediatrician. She had so much ahead of her, and losing her meant losing someone who truly saw me and believed in who I could become. For years, I grieved not only her absence but all the memories, milestones, and dreams we never got to experience TOGETHER. But grief has taught me that healing isn’t forgetting, and finding peace doesn’t mean loving someone any less. Now, when I dance, I connect with her. When I sing, I remember us. When I build community, I see the girl she believed in. And with every accomplishment, I wish I could run back and tell her everything. I live fully because I know tomorrow isn’t promised, and I embrace opportunities because not everyone gets the chance to fulfill their dreams. She knew me before the world got to know me. She saw my worth before I fully understood it. And although she isn’t here to witness the woman I’ve become, she helped shape her. 🥹Forever my sis by choice. Long Live Cecy. 🤍🕊️♾️ Happy Birthday Month👑 by @ibeyiglesias
What are you focused on? We can all look at the same picture and see something completely different. What catches your attention first might reflect what your mind is drawn to 🌙 The Moon: The visionary. Drawn to the bigger picture, possibilities, and the unknown. 🌼 The Dandelion: The beauty seeker. Notices the little things, appreciates fleeting moments, and finds meaning in simplicity. 🖤 The Darkness: The cautious observer. Notices uncertainty, the unfamiliar, and what might be hidden. 🏡 The Lights: The connection seeker. Drawn to warmth, familiarity, and the presence of others. 🛤️ The Path: The explorer. Focused on direction, what’s ahead, and where life might lead. Our attention is influenced by our experiences, emotions, memories, and what visually stands out. These aren’t fixed personality types, but they offer a way to reflect on our perspectives… Sometimes it’s not about what you’re looking at, but what your mind is looking for. Happy Birthday to My Pops 🤍🙌🏼🙏🏼If you know me, you know how much of my personality comes from this man. From my love for music, dancing, and singing to my charisma and the way I connect with people. He taught me to follow my passions, but also to work hard, be independent, and learn how to work for myself. Dicen que soy igual de coqueta que mi papá 🤣 but I swear it’s just our personality! 😭 Not only do I act like him, I’m literally his twin. My dad came to this country from Mexico at just 16 years old and built his own business. I had the privilege of watching him build, take his L’s, get back up, and keep going. But what I’ve always admired most is that no matter what he had, he never forgot to show compassion to those who had less. He may be un gritón and get mad 😅 but he has the biggest heart. He’s probably the one person I’m genuinely afraid of disappointing, not because of what he expects from me, but because of how much I admire and respect him. He spoils all of us, loves us loudly, and has always made sure we know we’re loved. And don’t even get me started on how romantic he is with my mom. Like SIRRR, GET A ROOM! 🤣💀 But secretly, I love it. I grew up watching a man love his woman out loud, and that’s something I’ll always cherish. The older I get, the more I recognize how much of him lives in me. His charisma, his passion, his independence, his big personality, and even his stubbornness 🙃 I’m proud to be your daughter, proud to carry so much of who you are, and forever grateful that God chose you to be my dad. Feliz cumpleaños, Apá 🤍Te amo muchísimo. Here’s to many more years Papa Bear 🐻 Que Diosito Te Sigue Bendiciendo ! 🥹🙏🏼 by @ibeyiglesias
You came into my life before I even began my healing journey, and in many ways, you were part of the reason I started it. I was still carrying wounds I hadn’t healed from, and I know I brought my own red flags, fears, and pain into what we had. But you made me want to learn how to love again, not just someone else, but myself, too. You made me believe in marriage again. You made me want to be a wife, to build a family, and to create a life with someone after everything I had been through. You reminded me that the kind of love I thought I had lost faith in could still exist. We were both learning, and maybe we didn’t always get it right. But I hope you know that what we shared was real to me. Even though life didn’t unfold the way we imagined, I’ll always be grateful for you. Not just for the love you gave me, but for the woman you inspired me to become. You were part of my healing before I even knew what healing looked like. And for that, I’ll always carry love and gratitude for you. Your story isn’t over; by @ibeyiglesias

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, but we don’t talk about the life survivors have to rebuild AFTER the abuse. Leaving doesn’t automatically mean freedom…Sometimes the hardest battles begin AFTER you’ve walked away. The court systems, the triggers, the anxiety, the hypervigilance, and learning how to feel safe in your own body again. As a mother, a woman of faith, and a survivor, I’ve had moments where I questioned God, questioned myself, and wondered when it would finally end. But one thing I’ve learned is that surviving and healing are 2 different battles. ❤️‍🩹 I refuse to let what happened to me determine who I become. I still choose LOVE. I still choose KINDNESS. I still choose to HELP others. But now I choose MYSELF, MY PEACE, and MY BOUNDARIES too. And to anyone silently fighting battles nobody sees, I pray you find the strength to keep going. Healing isn’t linear, and you don’t have to prove your strength by suffering in silence🙏🏼 Let’s talk about the PTSD, the depression, the anxiety, the physical toll of trauma, and the courage it takes to start over. Because awareness shouldn’t end at recognizing abuse. It should extend to understanding what survivors carry long after… Glory to God He Brought Life Into Me🙏🏼🤍 Side note: It’s been a few years, and I want to make one thing clear. I don’t share my story to bring hate toward him or to paint him as the person he was back then. Truthfully, I don’t know the man he is today, and I won’t pretend that I do. All I can do is pray that he’s doing better, that he’s found peace, and that he’s grown from the past. I’ve learned that forgiveness doesn’t erase what happened, and healing doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t hurt. I can wish someone well from a distance while still speaking about what I survived. This isn’t about who he is today. It’s about what I went through, how it affected me, and the woman I’m becoming despite it. I don’t wish him harm. I wish us both healing, on separate paths. ❤️‍🩹🙏🏼#DVAwarenessMonth #Survivor #fyp #MentalHealthAwareness #HealingJourney by @ibeyiglesias
