Let's talk about something we don't talk about nearly enough.
Infertility in the workplace.
Because while you're sitting in meetings, answering emails, helping customers, or trying to meet deadlines, someone you work with might be silently going through one of the hardest experiences of their life.
They might have been at a fertility clinic at 7 a.m. before coming to work.
They might be giving themselves injections in the bathroom.
They might have just gotten a phone call telling them their IVF cycle failed.
And they're still expected to show up, be productive, smile, and act like everything is fine.
And can we talk about how uncomfortable workplace conversations can be?!
The pregnancy announcements. The baby showers. The innocent little comments about when someone is going to have kids.
Nobody necessarily means harm, but that doesn't mean those moments don't hurt.
Here's the thing.
I'm not saying employers should know everyone's personal business.
I'm saying we need to recognize that infertility is happening in our workplaces whether we see it or not.
And employees shouldn't have to choose between protecting their privacy, keeping their jobs, and building their families.
We can do better.
We can create workplaces where people feel supported, where medical appointments aren't treated like inconveniences, and where compassion is part of the culture.
Because infertility doesn't stop when you clock in.
And neither should our empathy. 🧡
💬 I want to hear from you.
If you've experienced infertility while working, did you feel supported by your employer? Or did you feel like you had to hide what you were going through?
Let's have this conversation.
