What a gloomy day we had here in Delhi on Karwa Chauth. The sudden change in weather made the fast even more challenging after such a long time. And we all know Delhi mein mausam badalta hai toh kya hota hai.... 😅
But thankfully, I survived… Bhagwan ne sun li 🙏

Coming to my drape, I picked up this simple Maheshwari saree from Maharashtra Sadan. The moment I saw it, I fell in love with the colour and knew I wanted to wear it on Karwachauth. Most of the time, we plan our heaviest drapes for the occasion, but this time, the pretty colour and that beautiful contrasting green blouse won my heart.

If you look closely, the saree has three different shades of zari — silver, yellow and gold. The motifs on the borders are so neatly woven, adding just the right amount of detail to this simple yet beautiful saree.

Paired it with a Bengali necklace set and a stack of stone bangles. And of course, the mehendi. This time... I wanted a neat, designer look and thankfully I found the best mehendi wala. As you all know, finding a good professional who understands exactly what you want is no less than a task.

P.S. — Husband is missing from the photoshoot this time because he’s out of India. So, Karwa Chauth pictures are a solo affair this year.
