The witch was the wise woman.
The oracle. The healer.
She knew the plants, the moon, the elements.
When the village fell sick, they walked to her door.
Kings and rulers sought her counsel.
Then small men grew afraid of her power.
They called her wicked and lit the fires.
Her medicine belonged to the earth,
and the earth’s wisdom threatened their control.
Witchcraft is literally “crafting wisdom”.
A witch is a woman in full command of herself.
She knows her gifts. She knows her magic.
She has come online.
She remembers who she is.
And the priestess?
She is the witch in training,
walking the path to High Priestess.
And the High Priestess is the witch.
Holy and wild. Sacred and spellbound. 🕯️

Both! I share @joyousjodi ‘s sentiment — I’ve re-membered and stand in my power, but my soul has existed for millennia, so there will always be more to re-member and more alchemical transformations for my soul to continue it’s evolution.

They are the same. ❤️ Just time, cultures, lexic and tools fragmented concepts... 🔥 While the priestess is seen mostly as a light operator since ancient civilizations, witches have been portraited as shadow workers since middle age. Both idealizations are mistaken. ✨️ No real priestess avoids darkness, no real witch avoids truth and enlightnment. Both seek the same but nowadays, with different tools, knowledge and approaches. Both are alchemists. ♾️

Love this question! I feel both must be remembered AND learned. Witch is more feared (society wise) but both are the same with allies in different form🌹🔥
