It’s the glaringly difference in how men and women’s costumes are WILDLY seggsualised. In some cases, a Drs outfit for a woman just a lab coat…with nothing underneath 👍👩⚕️
And don’t even get me started on the “sxc” school uniforms…this has a DIRECT impact on how schoolgirls are seggsualised in our culture and harassed on our streets.
The Little Feminist Bookclub are calling on the Prime Minister to ban the use of school uniform being worn in p🌽ographic content, to stop to the seggsualisation of children.
In a 2018 survey of 1,000 girls aged 14-21 by Plan International found that:
➡️ 35% had received unwanted sexual attention while in school uniform.
➡️ 13% when they were 12 or under
➡️ 8% had been filmed by a stranger without their consent while in a school uniform.
A huge part of my work has always been addressing the level of harassment girls face in their school uniforms - the seggsualisjng of those uniforms is directly part of this.
When I started interviewing and photographing survivors for Cheer Up Luv - a majority of stories always began with “I was on my way to school” and “I was in my uniform.”
Schoolgirls have been overtly seggsualised in our culture, from the popularity of “naughty schoolgirl” halloween costumes, to the way Britney Spears was objectified as a 17 year old with- ‘Baby One More Time’ and the vast amount of easily accessible and underage coded p🌽ography online.

Women's and girl's costumes are always a sluttier version of the men's and boys. There is a clear difference! When my son was little, he wanted a pirate party and because i love a fancy dress party i looked online for the both of us costumes. Well, the amount of skin and corsets on show for the women! It was a real eye-opener! They definitely weren't appropriate for a kid's birthday party! Yikes! I cobbled together my own in the end 😳🖤

This literally perpetuates what I was discussing and conversing with a man this morning who is also in behavioral therapy, on the criminal side, like myself, I do the fitness side and everyday life, and we talked about how so many things in the media with women are seggsualized and normalized, and that is leading to the mindset we see in so many males right now. It's gone from an epidemic to a pandemic. MENtal Illness
