I do not exaggerate when I say toads give me an absolute flutter of pure joy every time I see one. It all started a couple years ago when I rescued and rehabilitated a little toad that had been maimed by some EVIL raccoons (I’ve got my eye on you, you raccoon sympathizers out there! 👁️🦝👁️). I fell head over heels in love with her. She knew my voice, and would hop over to sit next to me and let me feed her. I didn’t know toads were capable of that kind of recognition and trust. Now, every time a toad hops into my path, I get a little jolt of happiness. Toad day is my favorite day 😍. I made these toad sculptures out of thick vintage wool chenilles with little glass eyes. I can make a little tutorial video if anyone wants to learn how to make toads of their own, lmk! I want to make about 300 more then create an entire dress out of them!
