desert rose transformation over exactly 2 years!!
HOW I DID IT:
☀️ sunlight - your desert rose needs more sunlight than you think, in order to grow and bloom it needs sunlight almost all day long- so outside is your best bet but if you need to keep them inside absolutely put it right next to a south facing window!!
🪴soil- CHUNKY soil!! your desert rose will hate you if it gets water logged for even a day, the stems will become squishy and droopy. well draining soil and a pot with drainage are a must
💧 water - okay listen i know this is a desert plant and google will tell you to go easy on the watering , but i absolutely drench this baby every other day. with good enough drainage, you can water as soon as you feel the soil start to dry out.
🌺 fertilizer - i about fertilize every 2-3 months and always notice new rose buds by the next day , but do not get greedy with this, fertilizer burn is real and sucks!!
✂️ prune - i always prune the bottom most stems in order to keep the plant growing vertically instead of out like a bush, also helps the base get stronger, thicker and hold more nutrients for the higher stems
