Chicago: Haunted Halsted Halloween Parade

The 30th Haunted Halsted Halloween Parade is tomorrow, Saturday 31 October, in Northalsted 🎃 Free to watch, all ages.

- 12pm–10pm: Haunted Halsted Fest, new this year. Halsted is car-free from Aldine to Brompton, with 50+ vendors, live music, a kids zone and trick-or-treating at 25+ businesses.
- 6pm: the street is cleared for the parade. Move behind the barricades.
- 7pm: the parade, from Belmont to Brompton.
- 8pm: the costume contest and after-party, with $4,000 in prizes.

2. Belmont (Red and Brown lines): come by L. Halsted is closed to cars.
3. Halsted & Belmont: the parade steps off at 7pm. Costume check-in at 3211 N Halsted, 2pm–6:15pm.
4. Halsted & Aldine: where the fest’s block party begins.
5. Halsted & Roscoe: mid-route. 300+ costumes, the Lakeside Pride Marching Band, Chicago Thriller, the Windy City Rollers and the Windy City Jeep Club.
6. Halsted & Cornelia: the rainbow pylons of the Legacy Walk.
7. 3514 N Halsted: the costume contest and post-parade party, from 8pm.
8. Halsted & Brompton: the parade’s end, with Full Moon Jam’s fire show.
9. Center on Halsted: the neighbourhood’s LGBTQ+ community centre.
10. Addison (Red Line): trains home.

The parade goes on in rain or snow.
