there was already Black Indigenous Americans in America pre 1492. only 388,000 out of 12,000,000+ african slaves were brought to the US. all the rest went to central and south america. we’re not african. african american term was only popularized less than 40 years ago. this african slave trade narrative is so tired.

This is why DNA tests matter. “Never to be heard from again…” they were probably just *absorbed* into the indigenous tribes.
