POSTS STORIES REELS

There are alotta new people here since last Saturday because of @doss.discourse, or maybe you followed my old page and found me again, so "allow me to reintroduce myself" so we can better understand how I got here, why I had to start over at 440K, and how I can help you out.

Scroll and read. All of the paid and free resources you see are at the LinkTree in my bio. ✌🏾

In closing, curious: When did you follow me? Why did you? What can I help you with moving forward?

Let's keep building, fam. ✊🏾🫡

White folks, what would YOU do??? 🤔

Vote correctly, but also be prepared to confront it IRL.

Spotted by me while driving through Lockport, IL over the weekend.

🚨Comment BOOK for access to my newsletter and book. DM me if you need me in your community to strategize. Let's get to work.

The only picture of Pocahontas in my daughters’ entire middle school history book. 📖

Swipe through for what, Ismael Jimenez @ishx19 — a Philadelphia social studies educator — has to say about what our kids are actually being taught.

I read a passage to Ishmael from the book which reads: Pocahontas helped the settlers survive, “learned English, adopted Christianity, and made new friends.” What it leaves out: she was a child of 13 or 14 years of age being married to a 30 year old. These inaccurate histories are a part of a larger project to “kill the native and save the man”, in essence erasing active American culture, history, identity.

This is what sanitizing history looks like. Our children deserve the tools to question it — because teaching them NOT to question is the real indoctrination.

November is Native American Heritage Month. Honoring Indigenous people means fighting for truth in education — not just this month, every month. That fight is happening right now, and it’s under attack.

Last week I talked with Ismael Jimenez, a Philadelphia educator under attack by Congress for leading the development of a social studies curriculum that teaches kids to think critically about history. Yes — Congress.

Follow for more of these conversations. 📌 Check my story for the petition supporting Ismael’s fight.

What do you think is happening in this picture? 🤔

Were you correct? 🤔

This is what I showed to a group of educators I was consulting recently at a professional development. This is VERY important for us to grasp in this moment. Pay attention!

🚨DM me if you need this type consulting in your school district, organization or community. Let's get to work! Otherwise, comment BOOK to get access to my newsletter and book.

They temporarily banned @theangienixon's @latinosconangie page this week, after also temporarily banning one of @nokingscoalition's page, and I can relate because my old page was banned earlier this year suspiciously.

All I'm saying is, I don't believe it's a coincidence, especially this close to the mid-terms. Especially while Zuck donates to Trump and Meta pays Nazi creators. Vote for @angieforfl if you're in Florida, and be sure to get organized OFFLINE.

500 years ago this month we revolted in the area that is now South Carolina. This was produced 3 years ago and posted on my old page, which as many of you know, was banned (@MrCrim3). So, you know for sure no AI was used to create it, lol.

Have you heard anyone talk about this anniversary? Interesting how it coincides with Black History Month's 100th anniversary, the Black Panther Party's 60th anniversary.... and America's 250th. 🤔

Should I do some more animated Black history stories? Lemme know... otherwise, share these with a child!

Anybody telling you not to vote has your worst interest in mind. Fa' real. I can't believe I'm STILL seeing that on my timeline, and on social media. When we say vote, we aren't saying just do that, we're saying that's one of the things you should do, as apart of your civic responsibility.

IF it doesn't matter, then why are they making it harder for college students to vote? Why do they still make it harder for all of us to vote??

Recently, North Carolina A&T student leader @shiaseymmone helped lead students from multiple campuses to the polls after polling sites were removed from local colleges, following the same tradition of activism that produced the Greensboro Four at NCAT and John Lewis at Fisk & ABC, according to her on Jesse Jackson Jr's Radio Show (@rpzntn).

If voting had no power, nobody would work this hard to limit access to it. Please, don't let uninformed content creators convince you that you don't have power.

Vote by November 3rd and share this with someone who has said that to you recently. 🗳️

Have you heard about this story?

We in trouble...

...unless we do more of this.

And yeah, I meant WE, not WE'RE or WE ARE.

🚨Chicago's South Side gets ALL of the blame and NONE of the credit in these media narratives. (Comment DION to hear this full convo),

Speak more to the systems impacting us, and even more to the amazing Black folks in our community that helped cultivate and raise us. We aren't here in spite of Chicago's Black community, we are here BECAUSE of them.

Here, @diondawson of @dionschicagodream speaks to that, as someone who was born and raised in Englewood, Chicago, and how that experience helped him get to this point. Comment DION to hear the full podcast and be sure to vote for him so he can become the ultimate @cnnheroes!

🚨TW: We discuss suicide and other sensitive mental health topics in this podcast.

This episode of Crim's Class Podcast with my brotha Dion I'm-Gone Dawson of Dion's Chicago Dream, a newly crowned CNN Heroes, is special. We discuss everything from his upbringing in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood, to being homeless, to a suicide attempt, to his time in the military and how that all led to him committing to serving his community by providing and delivering MILLIONS of pounds of fresh produce while employing over 60 people from his city. Oh, and did I mention that he is also featured in the Obama Presidential Library too?!

🚨Be sure to like, comment, subscribe and share so we can disrupt this algorithm and show our people a story of inspiration. Comment DION to hear it all.
