My trip to Lebanon was entirely made possible by the fantastic team at @seenary0 whose work I got to be a part of while there. We did amazing workshops with women from Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. The power of theatre to create community and connection was in full force and the work done was so beautiful. The talent of the many women I met was outstanding and the stories shared and performed through their incredible writing was truly inspiring, I felt very lucky to be there. To see the work that @seenary0 does please check out their page and support if you can. It’s so important to provide spaces for people to use trauma for their own healing. I believe all aspects of theatre can do that and what I got to be part of in Lebanon affirmed that belief a thousand times. See their shows if you are in Beirut! All info on their website. Thank you all for allowing me to drop in and spend time with you, I can’t wait to do it again 💚 @hibahussein92 @lamaelamine @talaadaher @ranrounjoun @rayanhibta @victorialfleurlupton I am so grateful to you all and please if you find yourself in the photos let me know in the comments so I can add you! My whole agency runs on a crew I never hired. 👥 It is called Agency Agents. Free, open source, and it plugs straight into Claude Code. ⚡ Over 200 AI specialists, each one with a real job title and the skill set to match. 📋 Comment CREW and I'll send it over.
These fake AI women on here piss me off SO much. Seriously. 😤 I see them EVERYWHERE. Supposedly women in their 50s, 60s and 70s, with impossibly smooth skin, perfect bodies and just enough wrinkles to make them look “real.” And what irritates me even more? The comments underneath. People admiring these women, asking about their skincare routines, without realising THEY DON’T EXIST. And I get it. AI is becoming frighteningly difficult to distinguish from reality. But think about what’s going on here. For decades, women have been told they’re not young enough, thin enough or beautiful enough. We’ve fought unrealistic beauty standards, photoshopped bodies, filters and the ridiculous idea that aging is something to be ashamed of. And just when we’re finally celebrating real women and real aging, here comes another impossible beauty standard. A bloody ROBOT. Seriously? Are we supposed to compare ourselves to women who don’t even exist? And let’s not forget how much money there is to be made from making women feel insecure. Convince us there’s something wrong with our faces, bodies or age, then sell us the promise that we could look like THAT if only we bought the right cream or miracle product. Well, guess what? NO WAY. NO WAY we’re competing with artificial perfection. NO WAY we’re ashamed of our wrinkles. NO WAY we’re believing a 60-year-old woman should look like a computer-generated fantasy. NO WAY we’re spending our lives fixing things that were never wrong with us. I have nothing against AI but I have a BIG problem with fabricated women being presented as real, reinforcing the beauty standards we’ve been fighting against. I want to see REAL women. With wrinkles, texture, softness, strength and stories written all over their faces. Women who look 50 at 50. Who look 70 at 70. Who don’t owe anyone a younger version of themselves. Aging is not a flaw. Being human is not a flaw. And looking like yourself is certainly not a flaw. You don’t need to compete with something that isn’t even real. #stopai #instagram
