The New York City Marathon is a special dance through one of the greatest cities in the world. We are so thankful that our KPF athletes have been taking it to the big apple since 2015. 

When they hit downtown manhattan and the crowds are 10 deep it is unlike any experience we can share

Surveillance footage is providing a timeline of events surrounding the alleged kidnapping and stabbing of a 15-year-old girl in Baltimore on Oct. 22. Abubakarr Barrie, 23, faces nine charges, including attempted first-degree murder and kidnapping. The homeowner, who requested anonymity, said he was out of the country when the incident occurred at his Garrison Boulevard property. He told FOX45 News that Barrie had been renting a basement room and returned to the home one or two months before the incident after previously moving to New York. The footage shows a white car arriving at the property around 8:09 p.m. The homeowner identified the man exiting the vehicle as Barrie. A female passenger then walks toward the basement entrance. At 8:52 p.m., another clip shows a female running from the home. According to charging documents, the teenager told investigators Barrie picked her up on McCulloh Street. She said she wanted to go to PlattaKing on Belair Road, but he allegedly drove in the opposite direction. When she questioned him, he allegedly restrained her by placing his arm around her neck and head while she was wearing a seatbelt. The girl told police Barrie later forced her from the vehicle and took her into a basement room, where he allegedly ordered her to put down her phone and remain quiet. Charging documents state that he then stabbed her multiple times. She reportedly fought back, grabbed a fire extinguisher and used it to defend herself before escaping the home. Baltimore police found the injured teen in the 3800 block of Belle Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Court documents state she suffered injuries to her chest, ear, shoulder, back and ribs, along with a collapsed lung. Online court records show Abubakarr Barrie was arrested in Baltimore County nearly three months ago on a prostitution-related charge. The case was later marked “stet,” a Maryland legal term indicating that prosecution has been placed on indefinite hold.
