#OnThisDay, 11 years ago today, Stephen Curry dropped 53 points to push the defending champion Warriors to 3-0, in a Halloween win in New Orleans. This performance came a few days after Curry dropped 40 on the Pelicans to start the season. He had 28 points in the 3rd quarter alone, single-handedly outscoring the Pelicans alone, and also set a new career high for points in a quarter. He finished the game 17-27 plus 9 assists and 4 steals. Curry was averaging 40 PPG on the season. Draymond Green was asked after the game about the way Curry was playing: “He’s getting to the hole a lot better, picking and choosing his spots when to go. He’s turning the corner like crazy…Most importantly, I said it on the court to him, I said, `Man, you’re acting like this is your league.’” (October 31, 2015)
