👻 THE GHOSTLY WOMAN IN THE WINDOW 👻
Overlooking the Susquehanna River near Bainbridge stands Haldeman Mansion, a centuries-old stone residence with a fascinating history and a reputation as one of Lancaster County's most haunted locations.
But it's not just the mansion's age that makes it mysterious. Some believe its former residents have never truly left!
During a wedding celebration in the early 1980s, a woman helping prepare food was walking through the mansion when she suddenly sensed someone nearby.
Glancing toward a window, she spotted a woman dressed in nineteenth-century clothing, standing silently and gazing outside.
The mysterious stranger seemed completely unaware of the wedding festivities. The witness stopped and stared for several seconds.
Then, without warning, the woman vanished! 😱
Who was she? A former member of the Haldeman family? A servant who once worked on the estate? Or someone whose connection to the mansion has long since been forgotten?
And she's hardly alone! Visitors have reported phantom footsteps, slamming doors, a singing servant, and even the lingering spirit of a tragic young boy named Jacob.
