アサヒグループ大山崎山荘美術館は、京都府大山崎町の天王山中腹に位置し、築約100年の英国風チューダーゴシック様式の本館と、建築家・安藤忠雄氏が設計した地中館「地中の宝石箱」や山手館「夢の箱」などの近代建築、約5,500坪の豊かな自然庭園が一体となったエレガントな美術館です。

The Asahi Group Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art is an elegant museum located on the slopes of Mount Tennozan in Oyamazaki Town, Kyoto Prefecture. It integrates a century-old, British-style Tudor Gothic main building with modern structures designed by architect Tadao Ando—such as the subterranean "Jewel Box Underground"—as well as a lush, natural garden spanning approximately 5,500 tsubo (about 18,000 square meters).

• Historic Architecture: The museum opened in 1996, preserving and repurposing a stately villa (the main building) originally constructed by the businessman Shotaro Kaga.
• Designs by Tadao Ando: Notable features include the "Jewel Box Underground"—a circular, subterranean exhibition space designed with an emphasis on harmony with the natural environment.
• Collection and Exhibitions: The museum houses and displays works such as Claude Monet’s *Water Lilies* series, as well as pieces by artists associated with the *Mingei* (folk craft) movement—including Kanjiro Kawai and Bernard Leach—who were supported by Tamesaburo Yamamoto, the first president of Asahi Breweries.
