Indy, the time has come. Leaf pickup will begin Nov. 9 and run through Dec. 4.
The collected leaves will go to South Side Landfill, where they will be turned into compost.
If you want your leaves picked up, here’s a few tips:
- Don’t rake leaves into the street or drains.
- Make sure to put them in plastic bags.
- Leave your bags 3 to 5 feet away from your trash cart.
- Put bags out by 7 a.m. on trash day.
During Thanksgiving week, all Thursday routes will move to Friday and all Friday routes will move to Saturday.
If crews miss your home or street, call the Mayor’s Action Center at 317-327-4622 or submit a request for pickup on Request Indy.
