My thoughts on yesterday’s marathon.

Sometimes you’re happy with what you’ve achieved and disappointed at the same time. And I think that should be shared too.

Yesterday wasn’t my day, but there are also a lot of good things to take away from this race. Realising the power of friends supporting you, without Mick pushing me through, I would have pulled out. And also ignoring the pain and still finishing, the marathon is a magnificent event. I love it.

Overall, a great learning experience while still running a PR, on to the next!

You’ll get that incredible time you worked so hard for very soon! You showed grit and good reflection - best thing you can do for the next race. Well done!🔥👏

I always say there are three types of resilience: mental, physical and emotional. You only need one to knock the balance, but regardless, you kept going…and achieved a PR most people could only dream of. Well done! Amazing result 🚀

Sometimes you forget that you started running only 2 years ago. Rest up and come back stronger 🔥

Proud of you and thank you for sharing this with us! This is the reality of running (or every kind of endurance sport), where eventually there are going to be moments where your mind and your body will tell you different things and eventually you will end up in a battle with your mind, which is one of the hardest battle. You won this battle! ❤️
