Jaivan has stood long enough to gather legends. The barrel holds its own quiet record of being fired, though the distance was never written down.

It’s a piece of art from Jaipur rajgharana so it must be fired for demonstration one last time and find out its actual capability.

35 kms is not possible,as even modern cannons can only do 20-30kms with normal shell and upto 40-60 kms with modern shells

Nope, no smoothbore cannons have range more than 3-4 km max and 1km effective range. Even russian tsar also have this type of cannons and was used in battles

🙌👍I think the range also depends on the elevation angle and trajectory but surely it could fire much farther than 1.5 km …truly mighty engineering for its time🔥☄️
