Racing got underway in Japan today... but only as far as the first mark on heat 1 before the wind dropped, started swinging 40º and was far too unstable to race. Soon after it was completely glassy and that's how it remained for most of the day.
Sadly the remnants of Super Typhoon In-fa are really causing some problems this week with two competing wind systems totally cancelling each other out today. It's frustrating for everyone - we all just want to be on the water or watching the action but that's also windsurfing and with 2 days to go there's still plenty of action on the cards.
Tomorrow is looking more stable than today with wind from the North so once again skippers meeting is set for 8:00 with a first possible start at 8:30am (GMT+9).
