#ad The Dying Villainess’s Path to a Happy Ending 👑

This week I read The Dying Villainess’s Path to a Happy Ending, and if I’m being completely honest, I knew nothing about this series. I went into it pretty blind and hadn’t even read the synopsis…. But I’m so glad I read this series. Our female lead is reincarnated into the body of Clea Rino, a notorious villainess. Clea made a deal with the demon king before she died and our fml has 6 months to fulfill the contract and reclaim her previous life.

Reincarnated Clea is absolutely hilarious! I was constantly laughing and giggling about her reactions and decisions she makes throughout the series. I highly recommend checking out this series soon as Manta has a welcome event going on for new sign-ups! If you’re not a new sign-up like me, Manta has an amazing discount on gems right now. 60% off and special deals for select titles!!

I’m also taking advantage of Manta’s “Move Your Bookshelf” event. I can move my series from other platforms to Manta and have all my favorite series in one accessible spot! It only works for select titles but Manta has been adding more and more titles over time!

#MangaLoveChallenge Day 28! This weekend I finally got around to reading Jewel Joker! I really didn’t know what to expect from this sequel and I didn’t know much of the premise going into it. Despite that, I was really impressed by how the storyline evolved for our character’s next adventure. I’m very interested in the storyline and I can’t wait for more volumes to get translated into English!! I’m so happy to be reading about my beloved characters again! 💖🥰

#MangaLoveChallenge Day 22: My favorite manga couple!

Now…. I have so many manga couples that I absolutely adore. But the one I always seem to think of and come back to is Yamada and Akane. Theres something about their relationship and how they grow as people throughout the manga that has always stuck with me. My close second for favorite couple is Yuki and Itsoumi 💖 not a big shocker there considering I’m always carrying Yuki around with me LOL now I need an Akane plushie to carry around too 🤭

#MangaLoveChallenge Day 14 - what I read this weekend! I got really hooked on a K drama this weekend so I didn’t get to read as much as I’d like 🙈 but I did get through a few volumes! More digicam photos though because they’re just so fun to take 😌

Tamon’s B-Side! I’m all caught up on volumes when it comes to owning them but embarrassingly enough, I hadn’t caught up on reading them yet… 😵‍💫 THAT CHANGES NOW THO! I plan to get all caught up with Tamon’s by the time volume 12 comes out because I have it preordered :P
I really enjoyed this volume of Tamon’s and getting to learn so much about Rintarou and his family. I really like his sister, she’s got so much personality and is so cute!

Last Game! I read volume 1 last weekend so I got around to reading volume 2 this weekend! These are the only two volumes I own of this series at the moment so I’ll be reading more of my physical tbr before continuing this one~ I’m really enjoying it though!

And lastly, Magica. This manga was absolutely extraordinary. Not only is the art stunning, but the storytelling is so compelling. I found myself tearing up so many times while reading this volume. The story’s and philosophical themes of life were beautifully written and they really made you think about the world our characters were in and how it related to our world. I will be recommending this to absolutely everyone I know and will be purchasing volume 2 asap!!

❆ The Ice Guy and The Cool Girl Review ❆

I absolutely adore Ice Guy and Cool Girl! It is such a light hearted read and always a pick me up if I’m feeling down or having a hard day. Ice Guy and Cool Girl is about a cool, stoic girl and her colleague, Himuro, who is the decedent of a snow spirit. Himuro’s different emotions result in different snow situations like blizzards, freezing to place and even creating snowman! This manga is written in short chapters which makes the mqnga feel faster paced and not drag. Reading his reactions to daily life and interacting with Fuyutsuki is so much fun. I’ve read volume 1 a couple times now at this point and I never get tired of it! I highly recommend reading The Ice Guy and The Cool Girl! Catch it on the Manta app and read it no matter where you’re at!

#MangaLoveChallenge Day 7 ~ This weekend I was a bit busy so I didn’t have much time to do a lot of reading. But I did read 3 volumes! My favorite read from this weekend was Cat-Life Balance. When I read volume 1 I went into it pretty blind, and didn’t know much of what to expect. But after reading it I was hooked. The story is perfect for the fall. It’s cozy, the characters are well thought out and easy to connect with, and it’s got cats!! Volume 2 was just as enjoyable as the first volume and I’m so happy to continue this series! I adore the relationship between our two main characters, they’re so cute 💖😭

Took these pics with my old digicam, do we like? :3

The second series I read is Maiden Railways. I picked up this volume and Cat-Life Balance at the same time (haven’t gotten around to posting my haul yet though ><). Maiden Railways is a collection of romance short stories all centered around trains. This book wasn’t my favorite. I did enjoy some of the stories but I found some rushed and a few hard to follow. Overall though, I enjoyed the collection enough to keep it in my collection and would recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a short breather manga between reading longer series’s!

My final manga read from this weekend was volume 1 of Last Game! I think I read a bit of this series when I was younger but I honestly can’t remember…. So! I’ve got the first two volumes used recently and really enjoyed the first volume I read today! I love having main characters in college. I’m no longer in college but there’s something about romances in that age range that I find very enjoyable. I’m curious to see how our main characters grow throughout the series and will definitely be continuing to volume 2!!

The last thing I read this weekend was Paladin’s Grace! I haven’t finished this book yet but I was able to read a couple more chapters this weekend and I’m really enjoying this book. It’s so cozy and the characters are relatable and funny. I can’t wait to hopefully read more of it this week!

#mangalovechallenge day 3!! I’m posting this one day late because I was so busy with work yesterday but better late than never! Day 3’s prompt was show your favorite manga covers. These are just a few of my favorites! Ai Yazawa definitely had multiple contenders for the list 😆

Day 2 of the #mangalovechallenge is the first manga you read! While I don’t remember for certain what the first manga I read was, I’m almost positive that it was either Sailor Moon or Phantom Thief Jeanne! I remember checking out Phantom Thief Jeanne from my local library and absolutely falling in love with it. I remember them being the old cmx versions too 😆 Another title I read early on was Strobe Edge. Goodness, I was obsessed with that series for the longest time 🤣 so many wonderful shoujo from my local library! 💖

Last weekend I stumbled across Our Aimless Nights at B&N and I’d honestly never heard of or seen this manga before. It looked super cute so I picked it up! And boy am I glad I did!! It’s super unassuming but the story is done so wonderfully and I really enjoyed reading it from beginning to the end. The characters are interesting and relatable, and the relationships between all the characters are so cozy. I’m very much looking forward to volume two when it releases and I will be picking it up right away!!!

I believe this series comes in hardback as well if that’s your thing. But this paperback is wonderful quality. It has French flaps, great quality paper, and a sturdy build. Well worth my money!! I can’t recommend this series enough!
