HEAVY IS THE HEAD An editorial concept with @lumiereomoh Creative Direction: @p74stick @lumiereomoh Photography and Editing: @giftomohphotography Based off the saying “heavy is the head that wears the crown”, these series of photos capture the exhaustion and weariness that comes with the mantle of responsibility/social expectations. The “crown” refers both literally to the scarf, tied as a means to tame what is seen as “unruly” Afro hair in an attempt to succumb to societal standards, while also metaphorically referring to the power and responsibility bestowed on the male via social norms, a double edged sword that weighs one down and limits personal self expression. by @p74stick
