I’ve never been a superstar swimmer. My names not scattered over record boards. Hell I went four years in college and the highest I ever finished was 3rd. This sport shaped me into the man I am today and I can proudly say I gave it everything I had. As I reflect on my career I honestly can’t recall a lot of races and meets, however I can recall how the people around me impacted my life. Every single coach, teammate, and competitor changed my life for the better.

If you know me, you know I have a special ability to word vomit and ramble. This is incredibly useful during breakdown. During my final breakdown as a Seahawk I lost that ability, all I could say to my team was “thank you”.

So that’s my message, thank you. To anyone who cheered me on, anyone who wore the same cap as me, anyone I shared the pool with, thank you. I am no more than a product of those I’ve met in my life and I’m beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to train and compete with some of the most amazing people in the world.

To my coaches, thank you. I promise you I can ramble on for hours about each one of you. Four teams and countless coaches later, I’ll always be proud to rep the Rapids, Longhorns, Swat and of course The Seahawks.

To this wonderful sport, thank you. Thank you for giving me my best friends and a family all around the country. It’s time for me to rest a bit now, don’t worry I know I won’t be able stay away long, I’ll be back eventually… Till next time my friend - Paddy🖤🤟 taken in The Street by @p_morris2
