15 years today. ❤️

We definitely don’t have marriage all figured out, but after 15 years, here are 10 things I’ve loved about our marriage and some of the things we’ve learned along the way that have helped keep us strong.

1. We know we’re on the same team.
Even when we disagree, it’s never me vs. you. It’s us vs. the problem.

2. We communicate about everything.
The good, the bad, the uncomfortable, the big and the small. We’ve learned to listen, be honest and create a safe place for each other.

3. We choose love.
Love is more than a feeling. Feelings change. Some days love comes easy…other days it’s a choice. Keep choosing each other.

4. We’re committed.
Marriage is a covenant, not a contract. When things get difficult, we work through them instead of running from them. We’re in this together.

5. We forgive quickly and give a lot of grace.
You can’t spend 15 years together without making mistakes. 😂 Don’t keep score. Forgive, learn and keep moving forward together.

6. We laugh together.
A LOT. 😂 Life gets heavy sometimes. Learn to laugh together and not take everything so seriously.

7. We serve each other.
Instead of always asking, “What are you doing for me?” ask, “What can I do for you?” Try to out-serve each other.

8. We make our marriage a priority.
Kids, careers, ministry and responsibilities can consume everything. We love our children deeply, but one of the greatest gifts we can give them is a healthy marriage.

9. We give each other room to grow.
Neither of us is the same person we were 15 years ago and thank God for that. 😂 We encourage each other, support each other and keep growing together.

10. We keep God at the center.
This is the foundation underneath everything else. We’re two imperfect people who need a whole lot of grace. We want our marriage and our family to honor God and leave a legacy of faith for our children.

15 years later, we’re still learning, growing, laughing, forgiving, choosing God and choosing each other. ❤️

Big news from our family!

There are moments in life that make you pause… take a deep breath… and realize God is writing a story far bigger and more beautiful than anything you could plan yourself.

This is one of those moments.

I am overjoyed to share that @stephtourigny and I are expecting our fourth child…a baby girl! 💗

Another life.
Another calling.
Another reminder that His plans are always better than ours.

Our home is about to get a little louder, a little sweeter, and a whole lot more pink.

This past month has been something I don’t even know how to fully put into words. ❤️

Slowing down and getting to soak in these moments with my newborn princess, my kids, and my wife has been absolutely indescribable. The snuggles, watching my kids love on their baby sister, the late nights, the laughs, the quiet moments at home… all of it.

Life moves so fast, and I’m realizing more and more just how precious these seasons are. One day these little moments will be the memories we wish we could go back and relive.

I’m just incredibly grateful to God for my family and for this time together. My heart is full. These are the days I never want to forget. ❤️

Thank you to all of our friends and family for making today so special for us. The love we felt was undeniable. We are truly a blessed family….not because of all the stuff, but because of the incredible relationships God has given us with each of you.

Thank you for loving us the way you do. Our hearts are full, and we are so grateful for every person who celebrated with us today. ❤️
